How do Neovestor and Robinhood compare?
| Topic | Neovestor | Robinhood |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A non-custodial money app for iPhone, coming soon, where dollars earn, invest and spend. Neovestor is a software interface to third-party issuers and protocols. It is not an issuer, a custodian or an adviser. | Robinhood runs several offerings, including its main app in the US, Robinhood Europe for EU customers, Robinhood Wallet (a self-custody wallet) and Robinhood Chain. |
| Custody: US app | Non-custodial. Signing in creates embedded wallets on Solana and Base. Only you can approve transactions, and Neovestor can't access your keys: its servers never hold, derive or export them and never sign as you. A fee payer adds its signature only after the Transaction Guard checks the exact transaction. | Robinhood's US support pages state that crypto held in the Robinhood app sits in a custodial wallet. |
| Custody: Wallet | Non-custodial, as in the row above. | Robinhood states that Robinhood Wallet "is a self-custody wallet that is operated by Robinhood Non-Custodial, Ltd." and that Robinhood never has access to the user's keys or wallet password. |
| Tokenized stocks: Europe | At launch: tokenized US stocks and ETFs, including a gold ETF, issued by xStocks (NVDAx, TSLAx, AAPLx, MSFTx, SPYx and GLDx). Each asset screen names the issuer, links its terms and shows country restrictions. | Robinhood describes its Classic Stock Tokens, offered by Robinhood Europe, as derivative contracts between the customer and Robinhood Europe, recorded on a blockchain. It says holders will not have certain shareholder rights, such as voting, and that the tokens cannot be sent to other wallets or platforms at this time. |
| Tokenized stocks: Wallet | As in the row above: issued by xStocks, with the issuer's terms and country restrictions on each asset screen. | Robinhood describes its Stock Tokens as tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, traded on Robinhood Chain, that give economic exposure but no legal or beneficial rights in the underlying securities. Robinhood says they are available through Robinhood Wallet, with availability varying by jurisdiction; they are not available in the US or to US persons and are restricted in some other jurisdictions. |
| Earn: euro cash | At launch: Cash (USDC lent through Jupiter Lend), plus syrupUSDC (issued by Maple) and USDY (issued by Ondo), bought and sold by swap. Rates are variable, set by those protocols and issuers, and shown with an as-of time. | Robinhood Europe says customers can opt in to earn yield on uninvested euros through a money market fund, with a boost from Robinhood, and that the rate may vary. |
| Card | Planned, not live, and no launch date yet. When it launches it will be offered in eligible regions through a card-issuing partner, with identity verification to apply, and topped up from your Cash balance. | Robinhood says its Gold Card is a credit card that only US residents can apply for, after joining a waitlist, and that it requires an annual Robinhood Gold subscription and credit approval. |
| Chains | Solana for trading, earning and holding. Base for deposits, withdrawals and holding USDC and USDT. USDC moves between the two with Circle CCTP. | Robinhood describes Robinhood Chain as a "permissionless, AI-native Layer 2" network developed on Arbitrum's infrastructure. |
| Fees: Europe | Network fees on Solana trades, earn deposits and sends are covered within fair-use limits, and on Base where sponsored. Some cross-chain transfers carry a small network or forwarding fee. Any Neovestor platform fee is shown as its own line before you confirm. | Robinhood Europe says Classic Stock Tokens carry a foreign-exchange fee on each order and no other fees from Robinhood. |
| Availability: EU and EEA | Planned for eligible users on iPhone, in English. Not available to US persons for restricted assets, in sanctioned jurisdictions or to anyone under 18. Each asset can carry its own country restrictions. | Robinhood says eligible customers in every country in the EU and EEA can access Classic Stock Tokens, with some product restrictions in certain countries. |
| Regulatory status | Neovestor is a software interface. Assets are issued by third parties under their own terms, which each asset screen links, along with country restrictions. | Robinhood Europe, UAB says it is authorised and regulated by the Bank of Lithuania as a financial brokerage firm, a crypto-asset service provider and a payment institution. |
| Availability: US brokerage | Planned for eligible users on iPhone, in English. Not available to US persons for restricted assets, in sanctioned jurisdictions or to anyone under 18. Each asset can carry its own country restrictions. | Robinhood says US brokerage account holders need a Social Security Number and a US residential address, and must be a US citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid US visa. |
| AI assistant | At launch: Copilot, a read-only assistant that explains your portfolio, assets and how the app works. It explains and doesn't recommend trades. | Robinhood describes Cortex as an in-app assistant for portfolio questions, market research and app actions, available to eligible Gold subscribers. It says Cortex is for informational purposes only and is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold. |
| Platforms | iPhone only, in English. | Robinhood's US support pages list the Robinhood app on iPhone and Android, and a web version in most browsers. |
| Perpetual futures | Not in the launch version, by design: no leverage, perpetual futures or prediction markets. Limit orders and recurring buys are off at launch (coming soon). | Robinhood says it offers crypto perpetual futures in the EU and is rolling out commodity, ETF and FX perpetual futures, with leverage, to eligible European investors. |

- You want to earn a variable rate on USDC through named on-chain protocols at launch.

Which Robinhood product does this comparison cover?
Robinhood runs several offerings, including its main app in the US, Robinhood Europe for EU customers, Robinhood Wallet (a self-custody wallet) and Robinhood Chain. Each row of the table names the product it describes, and Neovestor is compared with each only where Robinhood publishes a claim.
Which offering applies to you depends on where you live. Neovestor is planned for eligible users on iPhone, and each asset can carry its own country restrictions.
How do the token products describe themselves?
Robinhood describes its Classic Stock Tokens, offered to eligible customers in the EU and EEA, as derivative contracts between the customer and Robinhood Europe. It describes its Stock Tokens as tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, with no legal or beneficial rights in the underlying securities.
The issuer of xStocks describes each xStock as "a bearer debt instrument classified as a tracker certificate" and says xStocks are "structured financial instruments, not direct equity ownership." Neovestor shows the issuer, its terms and country restrictions on every asset screen. Read each issuer's terms before you decide. Tokenized stocks explains how they work and what the risks are.
How do custody and keys compare?
Robinhood's US support pages state that crypto held in the Robinhood app sits in a custodial wallet. Robinhood states that Robinhood Wallet is a self-custody wallet operated by Robinhood Non-Custodial, Ltd. Those are Robinhood's own descriptions.
Neovestor is non-custodial. Signing in creates embedded wallets on Solana and Base. Only you can approve transactions, and Neovestor can't access your keys. Self-custody explains the design.
What does Neovestor offer for dollars and cards?
In Neovestor, Cash is USDC lent through Jupiter Lend, and syrupUSDC (issued by Maple) and USDY (issued by Ondo) are bought and sold by swap. Rates are variable, set by those protocols and issuers, and shown with an as-of time. Stablecoin yield explains where a variable rate comes from.
Neovestor's card is planned, not live. When it launches it will be offered in eligible regions through a card-issuing partner, with identity verification. The card page covers what is known today.
How current is this comparison?
Companies change their products and terms, so each Robinhood claim in the table has a numbered source link and an as-of date. A topic missing from the table reflects what we could verify on Robinhood's own pages, not a statement about what Robinhood does. Where Robinhood's own pages differ, for example on where a feature is available, the claim is left out. Rates, fees and cashback levels are left out on purpose because they change.
Robinhood and other names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products compared. If a claim looks wrong or out of date, email hello@neovestor.com.
